Position Summary:
The Lawn Care Technician / Groundskeeper will play a key role in maintaining the appearance, safety, and overall condition of properties managed by GryphClaw Property Management. This position involves lawn care, landscaping, seasonal maintenance, and winter snow removal. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and capable of operating landscaping equipment and company vehicles while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
Education & Experience
Required:
- Prior experience in lawn care, landscaping, or groundskeeping.
- Experience operating zero-turn mowers and landscaping equipment.
- Experience safely pulling and maneuvering a trailer.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (no moving violations).
- Ability to operate company vehicles responsibly.
Preferred:
- Experience with snow removal equipment.
- Basic knowledge of landscaping best practices.
Other Requirements:
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Strong time management and reliability.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Physical Demands
Ability to lift and move up to 50+ pounds.
Frequent standing, bending, climbing, kneeling and use of hand tools and machinery.
Manual dexterity and ability to perform repetitive motions for extended periods.
Travels between multiple properties and job sites.
Essential Responsibilities
The following duties are representative of the primary duties and responsibilities of this role. Incumbent(s) may not be required to perform all duties listed and may be required to perform additional, position-specific duties.
Lawn & Grounds Maintenance
- Operate zero-turn mower to maintain lawns efficiently and safely.
- Perform trimming and edging using weed whips and related tools.
- Maintain garden beds including weeding, mulching, and planting.
- Trim bushes, hedges, and small trees to maintain property appearance.
- Remove debris such as leaves, branches, and trash from grounds.
Property Upkeep
- Clean gutters and downspouts.
- Assist with general exterior property maintenance tasks.
- Inspect properties and report maintenance or safety concerns.
Equipment & Vehicle Operation
- Safely operate company vehicles to travel between job sites.
- Pull and maneuver trailers as needed for equipment transport.
- Maintain and properly use landscaping tools and equipment.
Seasonal Duties
- Perform snow removal during winter months (shoveling, salting, and/or equipment operation).
- Assist with seasonal property clean-ups (spring and fall).
Work Environment & Equipment
This position is primarily outdoors across multiple residential and commercial properties.
