Position Summary
The County Recruiter drives local hiring for the GOTV campaign within their assigned county — sourcing, screening, and onboarding canvassers, Team Leads, and other field staff to meet county-level staffing targets set by the Senior Recruiter.
Key Responsibilities
Local Recruiting
- Source and screen canvasser and field staff candidates within the assigned county
- Post and manage local job listings; attend community events, job fairs, and recruiting sites as needed
Build relationships with local community organizations to support hiring pipelines

Screening & Onboarding
- Conduct initial candidate screens and coordinate interviews with Canvass Managers/Team Leads
- Support new-hire onboarding paperwork completion (W-4/W-9, I-9, etc.)
Track candidate pipeline status and report progress to the Senior Recruiter

County Coordination
- Partner with the County Campaign Manager to understand real-time staffing needs
- Flag hiring gaps or shortages early, especially heading into peak canvass weeks
Maintain accurate local hiring records and metrics

Qualifications
- Prior recruiting, canvassing, or community outreach experience preferred
- Strong local network or familiarity with the assigned county's communities
- Comfortable with high-volume, fast-paced seasonal hiring
Reliable transportation; willingness to attend local events and recruiting sites

Compensation & Schedule
- Salaried position; estimated range $1100 - $1250 weekly, depending on experience
- Schedule flexes around canvass season, with increased hours as Election Day approaches
