Responsibilities
- Prepare food items according to established recipes and safety guidelines, ensuring quality and consistency.
- Operate POS systems to process retail sales transactions accurately.
- Serve customers with enthusiasm, upselling menu items to enhance their experience and increase sales.
- Manage cash handling procedures, including cash register operations and balancing at the end of shifts.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by cleaning workstations and adhering to food safety protocols.
- Assist with food safety management practices, including proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures.
- Support team members in setting up, breaking down, and maintaining the food trailer for daily operations.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food preparation or food service roles, such as quick service or fast food restaurants, is highly desirable.
- Culinary skills needed, but willing to train.
- Must be able to sustain long hours standing, lifting 50 lbs, and traversing stairs.
- Familiarity with POS systems and retail sales transaction experience is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to upsell and engage positively with diverse customers.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and inventory management.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while managing time effectively.
- Previous kitchen or café experience, along with retail store experience or grocery store background, will be advantageous.
