Responsibilities
- Perform professional massage therapy sessions utilizing techniques such as Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and occupational health treatments to address individual client needs.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine appropriate treatment plans based on physiology knowledge, anatomy understanding, and pain management experience.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their concerns, explain treatment options, and provide guidance on self-care practices.
- Maintain detailed records of each session, including client progress notes and treatment outcomes, ensuring compliance with medical terminology standards.
- Educate clients on the benefits of massage therapy and promote ongoing wellness routines to support long-term health goals.
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols by maintaining CPR certification and following all licensing regulations to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals or med spa staff to coordinate comprehensive care plans when necessary.
Qualifications
- Valid state licensure as a Massage Therapist with current certification in CPR.
- Proven experience in massage therapy with proficiency in Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and occupational health treatments.
- Strong knowledge of physiology and anatomy to tailor treatments effectively and safely.
- Excellent patient service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with diverse clients.
- Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to massage therapy and pain management practices.
- Prior experience working in med spas or similar healthcare environments is preferred.
- Ability to assess client needs accurately through client communication and physical evaluation techniques.
