POSITION SUMMARY
3rd Shot Pickleball is seeking a dependable, outgoing, and service-oriented Club Experience Expert to support our front desk, bar, and day-to-day club operations. This position combines the responsibilities of a front desk representative and bartender and plays an important role in creating a welcoming, safe, and enjoyable experience for every member and guest.
The ideal candidate provides superior customer service, takes initiative, works well in a fast-paced environment, and is comfortable identifying opportunities to promote memberships, programs, events, food and beverage offerings, and other club services.
An interest in learning and playing pickleball is required, but playing experience and skill level do not matter.
SCHEDULE
This position is expected to work approximately 18–29 hours per week.
3rd Shot Pickleball operates seven days a week. Candidates must have flexible availability and be able to work a rotating schedule that may include morning, mid-day, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts.
We are a team-oriented organization whose employees support and provide coverage for one another when needed.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Member and Guest Experience
- Welcome members and guests and provide friendly, attentive, and professional service.
- Check players in, manage reservations, and assist with memberships, programs, events, and general club information.
- Answer telephone and in-person questions accurately and promptly.
- Help new and returning players feel comfortable and connected to the club.
- Address customer concerns professionally and involve club management when appropriate.
Bar Service
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, and club policies.
- Verify identification and follow responsible alcohol-service practices.
- Operate the point-of-sale system and accurately process cash and credit-card transactions.
- Maintain a clean, organized, stocked, and safe bar area.
- Monitor inventory and notify management when products or supplies need to be replenished.
Sales and Club Operations
- Use a helpful, customer-focused sales approach to promote memberships, programs, events, food and beverage offerings, merchandise, and other club services.
- Complete assigned opening, closing, cleaning, stocking, and operational checklists.
- Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and safety of the front desk, bar, and shared club areas throughout each shift.
- Identify and respond promptly to spills, hazards, maintenance concerns, and other safety issues.
- Support club events, leagues, tournaments, clinics, and other activities as assigned.
- Communicate clearly with teammates and club management.
- Help provide shift coverage when needed.
- Perform other reasonable club-related duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Must hold a current Nevada bartending license or other alcohol-service credential required for the position.
- Must have flexible availability to work morning, mid-day, and evening shifts across a seven-day operating schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- Strong ability to provide friendly, professional, and responsive customer service.
- Positive, upbeat, and outgoing approach when working with members, guests, and teammates.
- Self-motivated attitude and willingness to take initiative.
- Go-getter, customer-focused sales mindset.
- Ability to remain organized and composed while handling multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication, reliability, punctuality, and teamwork skills.
- Interest in learning and playing pickleball. No minimum playing level is required.
- Ability to learn and use club-management and point-of-sale systems.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous experience in hospitality, bartending, customer service, retail, front desk operations, or sales.
- Experience handling cash and using a point-of-sale system.
- Familiarity with pickleball, including basic rules, terminology, programs, or equipment.
- Interest in working for a high-growth organization built around a rapidly growing sport.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to stand and walk for six to eight hours at a time.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or move at least 50 pounds.
- Ability to bend, reach, stock supplies, clean work areas, and perform other physical tasks required for club and bar operations.
- Ability to work in an active club environment that may include noise, crowds, and frequent interaction with members and guests.
