Integrity Technical Services, Inc. is partnering with a premier Cleveland, Ohio area engineering firm to hire a Senior Bridge Engineer who is capable of guiding a growing bridge design team through complex project delivery, shape the direction of the regional practice, and mentor the next generation of engineers. Positioned at the intersection of technical design and team management, you will drive project strategy, enhance client relationships, manage resource planning, and support high-profile pursuits that expand our presence across the region.
Duties
- Lead the development of structural designs for bridges, including steel, concrete, masonry, and composite structures, utilizing advanced structural engineering practices.
- Conduct comprehensive structural analysis using tools such as FEAs (Finite Element Analysis) and other structural analysis software to ensure safety and performance standards.
- Prepare detailed construction documents and drawings using CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, Civil 3D, and Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools.
- Manage project schedules through project management software like Project scheduling tools to ensure timely delivery of design phases.
- Collaborate with geotechnical engineers to incorporate geotechnical data into system design and foundation analysis.
- Review building code compliance and construction regulations to ensure all designs meet legal standards.
- Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to clarify project requirements and provide technical guidance.
- Oversee construction activities on-site to verify adherence to design specifications and safety protocols.
- Prepare technical reports, calculations, and documentation using technical writing best practices for project records and client presentations.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to integrate civil engineering systems seamlessly into overall project plans.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification in structural or civil engineering.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in bridge design, structural analysis, and project management within the civil engineering industry.
- Proficiency with structural analysis tools such as Mathcad, FEAs, Revit, MicroStation, Civil 3D, and other CAD software.
- Extensive knowledge of building codes related to bridge construction and structural safety standards.
- Demonstrated experience with developing structural designs for steel, concrete, masonry, and composite materials.
- Strong understanding of construction regulations and best practices for transportation infrastructure projects.
- Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high-quality standards.
