Pastry Chef | Larch Restaurant Group
We’re looking for someone who loves the craft.
Not someone chasing social media trends or trying to build the tallest dessert. Someone who gets excited about perfectly laminated dough, ice cream spun fresh that morning, bread coming out of the oven, and desserts that make people pause for a second before taking the first bite.
Larch Restaurant Group is home to three independent restaurants in the Bavarian village of Leavenworth, Washington: Larch, Prusik Kitchen + Bar, and Carta. Each has its own identity, and we’re looking for a pastry chef to help shape all three.
This isn’t a position where you’ll be handed recipes and asked to execute them. We want someone who enjoys creating, refining, and building a pastry program that changes with the seasons. You’ll work directly with Chef/Owner Ben Herreid and our culinary leadership team to develop desserts, breads, pastries, and special menu items that fit each restaurant.
A typical week might include:
Developing new seasonal desserts
Baking fresh breads and pastries
Producing ice creams, sorbets, custards, and laminated doughs
Supporting special dinners and events
Collaborating with the chefs on tasting menus and menu development
Helping build systems that keep quality high and production organized
We’re looking for someone who:
Has a solid pastry foundation and takes pride in precision
Cares as much about flavor as presentation
Works clean, organized, and efficiently
Wants to keep learning and growing
Enjoys being part of a collaborative kitchen
Values consistency over ego
Leavenworth offers something rare: a chance to build exceptional food while living in one of the most beautiful mountain towns in the Pacific Northwest. If you’re looking for another anonymous hotel or corporate pastry position, this probably isn’t it. If you’re looking for a place where your work will genuinely shape the guest experience, we’d love to meet you.
Compensation is competitive and based on experience, with opportunities for growth as our restaurants continue to evolve.
If this sounds like your kind of kitchen, send us your resume, a few photos of your work, and tell us a little about yourself. We’d rather know why you cook than simply where you’ve worked.
