American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a STEMI/PCI facility, ARRT certification, and proficiency in cardiac catheterization and interventional radiology procedures.

Inpatient and outpatient hospital cath lab setting with 7 procedure rooms
-
Adult and geriatric patient population with an average daily census of 25–30
-
Procedures include diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization, PCI, IABP placement/removal, Impella insertion, left and right heart catheterization, stent placement, angioplasty, paracentesis, thoracentesis, and upper/lower extremity angiography

Candidates with EP experience may be floated to the EP lab as needed when Cath Lab/IR case volume is low

General skills required include IV starts and EKG lead placement

Equipment includes Siemens imaging systems

Charting via Epic (experience required)

4x10 hour day shifts, 6:45 AM – 5:15 PM
-
Call requirements include one weekday call per week and every 5th weekend (Friday 6:00 PM – Monday 7:00 AM); holiday call coverage may apply

Minimum of 2 years of experience in a STEMI/PCI facility

ARRT (R) required — must be in hand at time of consideration

Current BLS and ACLS required

ODH (Ohio Department of Health) license required if applicable

MI license must be in hand; pending OH license is acceptable

Must be STEMI-ready

IABP and Impella training required
-
Epic EMR experience required
-
Experience with diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab procedures required; EP lab experience preferred
-
Proficiency in vascular studies, angioplasty, carotid stenting, and upper/lower extremity angiography

SSN and DOB required for consideration
-
2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 24 months required; one reference contact must be submitted within 72 hours of signing

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

First-time travelers will be considered based on experience
-
Floating to other units or facilities as needed is an expectation for all travelers
-
No block scheduling; schedules are largely set in advance and may be adjusted with two weeks' notice
-
Time off requests of 7 or more days require manager approval; no holiday time off is permitted
-
Holiday call coverage is expected during summer and winter holidays
-
Scrubs are provided

Former permanent staff must have been separated for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler

Travel pairs are permitted; unrelated candidates may work on the same unit, while related candidates may be placed at the same facility but not the same unit
