American/Asian Automotive Repair and maintenance service advisor:

In this vital role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for customers seeking vehicle maintenance and repair services. Your enthusiasm and excellent communication skills will help guide clients through the service process, ensuring a positive experience from start to finish. You will coordinate between customers and our skilled technicians, providing clear explanations of repairs, and promoting additional services to enhance vehicle performance. This role offers an exciting opportunity to leverage your automotive knowledge and customer service expertise in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
Automotive Service Advisor Duties:
- Answer phone calls and lead phone call conversations
- Schedule appointments - phone and in person
- Greet customers warmly and professionally, establishing trust and rapport from the first interaction
- Assess customer needs by listening carefully to vehicle concerns and symptoms
- Manage daily repair orders from check-in to delivery,
- Present digital inspections results , including customer's concern technicians findings and recommendations, safety issues, and other recommendations such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake repairs, alignments, suspension work, flushes etc. in a understandable manner
- Communicate repair progress
- Convert diagnostics into approved work (phone + in-person)- clearly explaining recommended repairs and maintenance procedures
- Coordinate parts and completion times
- Control comeback risk through documentation and expectation setting
- Maintain target GP$ per vehicle
- Run morning readiness: confirmations, prep, and staging
- Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs, ensuring timely completion of services while maintaining high quality standards
- Handle Payment transactions accurately and maintain proper documentation for all service work performed
- Maintain detailed records of customer interactions, service histories, and recommendations for future maintenance needs

What You Will NOT Do
- Sit behind a desk waiting for calls

- “Just type what the customer asked”
- Guess repairs, estimate or diagnose over the counter (our technicians write the estimates)
Requirements:
- 2+ years automotive service advisor or sales-consultation experience (automotive strongly preferred)
- Strong verbal communication (clear, confident, structured)
- Able to lead conversations — not react to them
- Comfortable discussing $1,000–$4,000 repair plans
- Organized under pressure and high car count
- Computer literate (shop management software experience, Tekmetric preffered)
- Strong background in auto service management, and service writing
- Hands-on mechanic experience or automotive diagnostics knowledge highly desirable
- Familiarity with a wide range of automotive systems including transmissions, oil changes, brake repair, alignments, suspension work, tire service, diesel engine repair, shocks & struts, air brakes, and auto body repair
Pay Structure
- Pay every 2 weeks
- Base salary + performance bonus
- Monthly incentives based on production
- No caps when numbers are hit
Pay: $65,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
