Responsibilities
- Assist with pipe installation, maintenance, and repair under supervision, ensuring adherence to building codes and safety standards
- Support the reading and interpretation of technical drawings and blueprints for plumbing projects
- Use hand tools and power tools safely to cut, thread, and assemble piping systems
- Participate in remodeling projects by installing or replacing plumbing fixtures and systems
- Maintain a clean and organized work area on construction sites, following safety protocols at all times
- Help with the inspection of plumbing systems for leaks or issues and assist in troubleshooting problems
- Follow safety procedures diligently, including power tool safety and proper handling of welding equipment when applicable
Requirements
- Construction experience or background in construction plumbing is highly desirable
- Familiarity with blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings
- Basic mechanical knowledge related to plumbing systems and pipe threading techniques
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely
- Strong understanding of building code compliance and safety protocols on construction sites
- Good basic math skills for measurements and calculations involved in pipe installation
- Excellent customer service attitude when interacting with team members or clients during remodeling or maintenance tasks
