We are seeking motivated Owner Operators specializing in cargo transportation to join our dynamic logistics team. As an Owner Operator, you will leverage your own commercial vehicle to provide reliable, efficient delivery services across various routes. Duties
- Safely operate your own cargo vehicle, including box trucks and other commercial trucks, to transport goods across designated routes
- Load and unload cargo using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts when necessary
- Ensure all deliveries are completed accurately and on time by following planned routes and schedules
- Adhere strictly to traffic regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) guidelines, and safety protocols during all driving activities
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of your vehicle to identify maintenance needs or safety concerns
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams via mobile devices to receive instructions and report delivery statuses
- Provide exceptional customer service by handling deliveries professionally, addressing client inquiries, and ensuring a positive experience during each interaction
Qualifications
- Proven experience in commercial driving, delivery driving, or courier roles with a focus on cargo transportation
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) preferred but not mandatory depending on vehicle type
- Experience operating manual transmission vehicles and material handling equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks is highly desirable
- Knowledge of warehouse operations, manual handling practices, heavy lifting techniques, and safe lifting practices
- Familiarity with DOT regulations, traffic laws, weight handling in the workplace, and route driving procedures
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients and team members
- Ability to perform physical tasks including moving cargo, manual handling of goods, heavy lifting, and working in warehouse environments when needed
- Comfortable using mobile devices for route navigation, communication, and documentation purposes
