Position Overview
As a B Technician , you will be tasked with ensuring the precise alignment of vehicle wheels, utilizing advanced equipment and techniques. In addition to alignment services, you will collaborate with Master Technicians on complex automotive procedures, gaining valuable insights and experience.
Responsibilities
- Perform Wheel Alignments: Employ specialized tools and technology to adjust wheel angles according to manufacturer specifications.
- Inspect Suspension Components: Conduct thorough assessments of suspension elements to identify potential alignment issues.
- Diagnose Alignment Problems: Analyze tire wear patterns and conduct diagnostic test drives to accurately identify alignment discrepancies.
- Execute Adjustments: Skillfully adjust suspension components to correct alignment deviations and optimize vehicle performance.
- Validate Performance: Conduct comprehensive test drives to verify alignment adjustments and confirm proper vehicle handling.
- Educate Customers: Provide detailed explanations regarding the importance of wheel alignments and recommended maintenance.
- Brake Services: Perform brake inspections, repairs, and replacements, including pads, rotors, calipers, and related components.
- General Automotive Repairs: Diagnose and repair common automotive issues, including starters, alternators, batteries, and other general mechanical repairs.
- Tire Services: Mount, balance, repair, and replace tires as needed.
- Routine Maintenance: Perform oil changes, fluid services, filter replacements, and scheduled maintenance services.
- Lube Service Assistance: Assist the lube department by supporting lube technicians based on business demand.
- Collaborate with Team: Assist Master Technicians and other team members with various automotive tasks, contributing to a collaborative work environment.
- Learn from Master Technicians: Gain hands-on experience and technical knowledge by supporting Master Technicians in their endeavors.
Requirements
- Minimum of one year of experience as an alignment technician or equivalent automotive technician.
- Proficiency in performing wheel alignments and related automotive services.
- Ability to competently mount and balance tires.
- Experience performing brake repairs and general automotive maintenance and repair services.
- Familiarity with diagnosing and replacing components such as starters and alternators.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to diagnose and address alignment issues accurately.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment.
- Strong verbal communication skills to interact with colleagues and customers.
