The Procurement Manager will play a vital role in our supply chain, overseeing the sourcing and purchasing of materials and services necessary for our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will be a skilled negotiator with a proven track record in managing supplier relationships and optimising procurement processes to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Responsibilities

Develop and implement effective procurement strategies that align with the company's operational and financial objectives.

Source, evaluate, and select suppliers for raw materials, components, and finished goods, ensuring they meet our quality, cost, and delivery standards.

Lead contract negotiations with suppliers to secure favourable terms, pricing, and service level agreements.

Cultivate and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key suppliers to ensure a reliable and high-quality supply chain.

Monitor market trends, price fluctuations, and supply chain risks to make informed purchasing decisions and mitigate potential disruptions.

Collaborate closely with production, sales, and finance departments to forecast demand and manage inventory levels effectively.

Analyse procurement data and spending to identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvements.

Ensure all procurement activities adhere to company policies, ethical standards, and legal regulations.

Manage the entire purchase order process, from creation to final delivery and payment.
Qualifications

Proven experience as a Procurement Manager, Purchasing Manager, or in a similar senior procurement role, preferably within a manufacturing environment.

A comprehensive understanding of supply chain management principles and procurement best practices.

Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.

Demonstrable experience in contract management and supplier relationship management.

Proficiency in procurement software and the MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.

A bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is highly desirable.
