inequality that holds back working families. One Pennsylvania is seeking a Volunteer Coordinator to help lead and support our electoral and organizing volunteer program.
The Volunteer Coordinator is a permanent position starting March 1, 2026. The ideal candidate will use project management, field, communications, data and organizational skills to support and manage One PA’s volunteer opportunities for membership and partners during the 2026 electoral season. They will report to our Civic Engagement Director, supervise a volunteer manager and work directly with our Civic Engagement and Organizing Departments.
Develop and manage volunteer opportunities in Southeastern PA, including canvass walks, phone and text banks and other events to help support One PA endorsed candidates, and program goals.
Use VAN, Mobilize, zoom, auto-dial software and P2P text software to create all necessary events, contact lists, turfs, scripts and other components for a successful volunteer event.
Connect with external partners to identify external partners to host or co-host volunteer opportunities.
Regularly review program results and develop reports.
Manage a volunteer organizer, in Western PA.
Create a master list of electoral and organizing events and opportunities to connect One PA members and allies to make volunteering with One PA’s civic engagement program as smooth and easy a process as possible.
Work with One PA organizing staff to plug members into volunteer opportunities, including, providing weekly updates to One PA staff regarding calendaring and volunteer opportunities.
Work with Volunteer Manager to host two community events for each One PA chapter a year
Coordinate member outreach and recruitment.
Provide tech support for VAN and phone banks on as-needed basis.
Work across departments on organizing and electoral needs.
Experience in community, labor or electoral organizing.
Commitment to and understanding of progressive organizing.
Experience in project management.
Experience utilizing, maintaining and teaching various databases, VAN preferred.
Experience hosting events.
Experience that demonstrates the ability to empathize with and move people to take action.
Experience or willingness to work in a fast-paced, quickly changing campaign environment.
Must have a car and valid drivers license.
Full-time work including evenings and weekends as needed.

Candidates will ideally be flexible, reflective and open to learning while also possessing the ability to bring creative ideas and a fresh perspective to an evolving political program.
Conditions: Owning and operating a car is required, willingness to travel and the ability to competently navigate the city is required. Occasional opportunities to travel across the state or country for training or with members can be reasonably expected. One Pennsylvania provides mileage reimbursement at the Federal rate, per diem and lodging when working away from home. Ability to work hours exceeding stated office hours to get the job done; ability and
willingness to work evenings and weekends when necessary. The position will be based in Philadelphia.
Compensation for this position is between $65,000 and $70,000, commensurate with experience.

This position is a hybrid statewide position, and reports out of either Pittsburgh or Philadelphia.
