Pay: $28–$33/hour + 20% Shift Differential (DOE)
Join a leading aerospace manufacturer as a CNC Machinist supporting the production of complex, precision aerospace components. This role requires the ability to set up, operate, and troubleshoot multiple types of CNC equipment while maintaining exceptional quality and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
- Set up, operate, and troubleshoot a variety of CNC machining equipment.
- Independently perform setups on proven operations without direct oversight.
- Operate multiple machine types, including:
- 3, 4, and 5-axis machining centers
- Horizontal and vertical mills
- VTLs
- Mill/Turn machines
- CNC lathes and grinders
- CNC boring machines
- Manual machining equipment
- Maintain strict quality standards and identify potential nonconformances.
- Make recommendations for tooling improvements, cutting methods, and process optimization.
- Support Lean manufacturing initiatives including 5S, TPM, Kaizen events, and setup reduction projects.
- Work collaboratively across the shop and assist with training other team members.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
- CNC machining experience in an aerospace or precision manufacturing environment preferred.
- Ability to independently set up and operate multiple CNC machine types.
- Experience with complex machining operations and tight tolerances.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to improve machining processes.
- Ability to read and follow work instructions, blueprints, and technical documentation.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Willingness to learn and support different areas of the shop.
