Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled individual to join our team as our evening Cook. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our dietary services, focusing on high-quality food preparation and exceptional service. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in the food industry, with experience in fine dining and catering, and will be committed to maintaining the highest standards of food safety and quality for our seniors!
Duties
- Prepare and cook meals according to established menus, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish.
- Assist in menu planning, taking into consideration dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety guidelines.
- Handle food with care, ensuring proper storage and preparation techniques are followed.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient meal service and timely delivery of food.
- Provide excellent customer service when serving meals, addressing any dietary needs or concerns.
- Participate in catering events as needed, showcasing culinary skills in various settings.
- Utilize knife skills for meal preparation while following safety protocols.
Experience
- Previous experience in a dietary department or as a dietary aide is preferred.
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food handling within a restaurant or culinary setting.
- Familiarity with fine dining service standards and catering operations is a plus.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices is essential.
- Experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment with the ability to multitask effectively.
