Position Summary
DMF Railgear is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented, self-starter, capable of working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. This role will require professional communication with customers and the ability to quickly respond and assist customers with parts-related requests and inquiries.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle customer inquiries, provide quotes, and confirm and close out sales orders for parts department via phone and email.
- Identify correct parts using catalogs, technical manuals, Bills of Materials (BOMs) and learned knowledge of DMF Hi-Rail gear and componentry.
- Build and maintain relationships with existing customers and identify upselling opportunities.
- Utilize ERP systems for order entry, inventory checks, and tracking shipments.
- Work with service department, procurement, and external sales teams to meet the needs of customers.
Key Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience in sales, customer service, or a technical, parts-related field is preferred.
- Technical Aptitude: Basic understanding of automotive, heavy equipment, or industrial machinery. Education of Hi-Rail systems will be provided on site.
- Systems Knowledge: Proficiency with CRM software and ERP systems (e.g., Odoo) is expected. Additional experience with Microsoft 365 (Excel, Word, SharePoint, Teams and Outlook) will be necessary.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
