Med Tech – Join a Team That Knows Our Residents
We’re looking for a Med Tech who wants to do more than pass medications. We want someone who genuinely enjoys working with older adults, takes pride in doing things right, and wants to be part of a team that cares about the people who live here.
At Everett Plaza, our residents are not just names on a MAR or numbers on a census report. They are people with stories, personalities, preferences, and lives that matter. Our Med Techs get to know those residents—and that relationship is one of the most important parts of the job.
If you are dependable, compassionate, and someone your coworkers can count on, we would love to meet you.
What You'll Do
- Administer medications safely and accurately according to physician orders and community policies.
- Complete medication documentation and charting in PointClickCare (PCC).
- Monitor residents throughout your shift and communicate changes in condition, behavior, mood, or overall well-being to the appropriate nurse.
- Build positive relationships with residents and treat them with patience, dignity, and respect.
- Assist residents with their daily needs when appropriate and within your scope of practice.
- Work closely with caregivers, nurses, and the rest of the team to provide consistent, quality care.
- Answer call lights and respond to resident needs in a timely and compassionate manner.
- Follow medication, infection control, safety, and documentation procedures.
- Help create a community where residents feel safe, respected, and at home.
- Be willing to step in and help your teammates when the shift gets busy. We work as a team here.
What We're Looking For
- A current Washington State-approved Med Tech/CNA-Medication Assistant credential, as applicable to the position.
- Current CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain it as required.
- Previous assisted living, long-term care, home care, or healthcare experience is preferred.
- Experience with PointClickCare is a plus, but we can teach the right person our systems.
- Someone who is reliable and takes responsibility for their work.
- Someone who communicates well and isn't afraid to ask questions when they need help.
- Someone who treats residents and coworkers with respect.
- Someone who understands that how we care for people matters just as much as getting the task done.
