Botique property management company is seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team. Duties
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities, including recording journal entries, reconciling accounts, and maintaining the general ledger.
- Perform bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy between bank statements and financial records.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions efficiently and accurately.
- Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and other relevant documentation.
- Maintain detailed records of payroll, tax filings, and compliance-related documentation.
- Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks to ensure precise data entry and reporting.
- Ensure adherence to GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and governmental accounting standards where applicable.
Skills
- Strong understanding of corporate accounting principles, including double-entry bookkeeping and general ledger management.
- Experience with non-profit accounting practices is advantageous.
- Knowledge of governmental accounting standards and tax regulations.
- Ability to perform balance sheet reconciliation, account reconciliation, and bank reconciliation accurately.
- Familiarity with payroll processing, accounts payable/receivable management, and financial report writing.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail; proficiency in 10-key typing is preferred.
- Solid understanding of financial concepts such as debits & credits, journal entries, account analysis, and budgeting.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members and external auditors.
- Ability to adapt quickly to new software platforms and evolving accounting procedures.
