Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide attentive seating assistance to ensure a smooth flow of service
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems ensuring quick and precise entry
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
- Manage guest inquiries, resolve concerns promptly, and provide exceptional customer service to foster guest loyalty
- Assist with food handling, sanitation, and basic food preparation tasks as needed to support kitchen staff
- Clear tables, bus tables, and reset dining areas swiftly to maintain a clean and welcoming environment
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially in fine dining or upscale establishments
- Familiarity with POS systems; experience with Toast is a plus
- Strong knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures
- Proven skills in guest relations, serving, bussing, and host/hostess responsibilities
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy weekend shifts
- Ability to perform basic math for cash handling, cashiering, and order processing accurately
- Experience working in nightclubs or hospitality settings is advantageous but not required
