Graniterra is a well-established stone fabrication and installation company serving residential and commercial construction markets throughout the St. Louis area. We are seeking a highly organized and financially capable Business Operations Coordinator to oversee daily accounting functions, payroll administration, HR support, and operational office responsibilities within a fast paced entrepreneurial company.
This is a key position within the company with direct interaction with ownership and leadership. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail oriented, capable of working independently, and comfortable helping drive organization, accountability, communication, and follow through across multiple departments.
The role requires sound judgment, strong organizational skills, professionalism, and the ability to help maintain operational structure in a dynamic small business environment. The right individual will be comfortable handling sensitive information, coordinating with employees and customers, and helping leadership maintain consistency and accountability throughout the organization. Responsibilities:
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and daily accounting coordination
- Coordinate payroll processing, employee documentation, and related reporting
- Support employee onboarding, benefits administration, and HR related functions
- Coordinate health insurance, 401(k), and personnel record administration
- Assist with collections follow up, vendor communication, and purchasing coordination
- Maintain organized financial, operational, and employee records
- Support customer communication and internal office coordination
- Coordinate scheduling communication between office, production, and field teams
- Assist with reporting, data management, CRM organization, and operational follow through
- Help maintain organizational structure, accountability, and administrative consistency across the business
- Provide occasional support across affiliated business operations
Qualifications:
- Strong organizational, communication, and follow through skills
- Experience with bookkeeping, accounting coordination, payroll, or business office management
- Experience supporting employee onboarding, benefits administration, or HR related functions preferred
- Proficiency with QuickBooks, Excel, CRM systems, and general business software required
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple responsibilities effectively
- Professional judgment and comfort handling sensitive or confidential information
- Construction, manufacturing, service, or project based business experience is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience is preferred
- Positive attitude, professionalism, and team oriented mindset
