Duties
- Perform a variety of hair styling services including cuts, blowouts, updos, and special occasion styles with precision and flair
- Execute professional hair coloring techniques utilizing color theory principles to achieve desired results
- Apply hair extensions to enhance client beauty and confidence
- Conduct hair treatments such as deep conditioning, scalp treatments, and keratin smoothing services
- Maintain impeccable sanitation standards by properly sterilizing tools and workstations in accordance with health regulations
- Provide expert advice on hair care routines, product recommendations, and retail sales to meet client needs
- Utilize salon software for appointment scheduling, client records management, and retail tracking
- Engage in client communication to understand preferences, offer style suggestions, and ensure satisfaction
- Assist with front desk duties including greeting clients, managing appointments, and handling retail transactions
- Mentor junior team members in technical skills and customer service excellence to foster a collaborative environment
Qualifications
- Valid cosmetology or barbering license recognized by state licensing boards
- Proven experience working in the beauty industry with a strong portfolio of diverse styling techniques
- Proficiency in salon software such as Mikal for scheduling and client management
- Skilled in hair coloring techniques and understanding of color theory for customized results
- Knowledge of sanitation protocols to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff
- Excellent communication skills to connect effectively with clients and team members
- Ability to upsell retail products confidently while providing exceptional service
- Stylist with a following is a MUST.
- Commission Based Pay with option to earn Vacation Pay. Not an hourly salon for stylist.
