Lakeside Structures is looking for an experienced Construction Foreman / Field Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day details of multiple active jobsites.
This is a field-based position for someone who knows construction, knows how a jobsite should be run, and pays attention to the things that can easily get missed. We need someone who can move between projects, keep crews organized, catch problems early, and make sure our jobs are being completed correctly and professionally.
We specialize in lakefront construction, including docks, steel structures, concrete, stairs, walkways, boat lifts, decking, and other custom waterfront work.
Responsibilities
- Oversee multiple active jobsites and regularly check progress
- Make sure crews understand the scope of work and what needs to be completed
- Monitor workmanship and quality throughout each project
- Catch mistakes, missing details, and potential problems before they become bigger issues
- Coordinate manpower, materials, equipment, and deliveries between jobs
- Make sure crews have what they need to keep work moving
- Review drawings, measurements, and project details with crews
- Verify work is being built according to plans and company standards
- Keep projects organized and on schedule
- Coordinate with company management on job progress, problems, and upcoming needs
- Communicate with customers when necessary while maintaining a professional jobsite
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe jobsites
- Enforce company safety procedures and jobsite expectations
- Keep track of tools, equipment, and materials
- Perform jobsite walkthroughs and create punch lists
- Make sure punch-list items and small finishing details are completed before a job is considered finished
- Help train, direct, and hold crew members accountable
- Step in and help solve problems in the field when necessary
We are looking for someone with real field experience, not someone who only has management experience from an office.
The right person should:
- Have several years of construction experience
- Have previous foreman, superintendent, crew leader, or construction management experience
- Understand how to read construction drawings and measurements
- Have a strong understanding of jobsite sequencing and how different trades work together
- Be able to recognize good versus poor workmanship
- Be comfortable managing multiple crews and projects at the same time
- Be mechanically inclined and capable of solving problems in the field
- Be organized and able to keep track of a lot of moving pieces
- Be comfortable holding employees accountable when something isn't being done correctly
- Communicate clearly with employees, management, subcontractors, and customers
- Have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Be comfortable working outdoors in Texas weather and around waterfront construction
Experience with structural steel, welding, concrete, carpentry, equipment operation, excavation, or marine construction is a major plus.
You should be the type of person who walks onto a jobsite and notices the crooked board, missing bolt, bad weld, incorrect measurement, material we're about to run out of, or something that isn't being done the way it should be.
We need someone who can see the big picture of the project while still paying attention to the small details.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
People with a criminal record are encouraged to apply
