Duties
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment such as Hoyer lifts and other assistive devices.
- Monitor and record vital signs accurately, including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature, ensuring timely communication of any changes.
- Support medication administration under supervision, adhering strictly to HIPAA regulations and aseptic techniques to maintain patient safety.
- Document patient information thoroughly using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems like Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks for seamless medical documentation.
- Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, including memory care strategies and behavioral health support.
- Assist with catheter care, wound dressing changes, and infection control practices aligned with hospital protocols such as Level I Trauma Center or ICU standards.
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams in inpatient, outpatient, long-term care, assisted living, or home & community care environments to ensure comprehensive patient service.
Requirements
- Valid certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) with current state licensure.
- Demonstrated experience working in diverse healthcare settings such as hospitals (including ICU or emergency medicine), nursing homes, hospice care, or behavioral health facilities.
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Cerner; familiarity with medical terminology and anatomy/physiology knowledge is highly preferred.
- Experience with specialized care areas including geriatrics, pediatrics, post-acute care, sub-acute care, or working with individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting patients using Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices while maintaining proper aseptic technique.
- Strong understanding of HIPAA compliance and medical records management; excellent patient service skills are essential.
- Flexibility to work in fast-paced environments such as Level II trauma centers or urgent care clinics; prior experience in acute or critical care is a plus.

Pay: $26.00 - $29.58 per hour
