Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Clinical Assistant to join our hospice team. In this vital role, you will support the clinical team with various responsibilities including chart audits, document scanning, billing submissions, and invoices.
Minimum Qualifications Required:
Education: High School Diploma. Associates degree in related field preferred.
Experience: Minimum 2 years in a healthcare setting working directly with patient care staff.

· Must maintain current driver’s license and automobile insurance.
· Must successfully complete pre-employment physical and drug screen and submit to immunizations and periodic tuberculin skin tests or chest x-rays and company expense.
Essential Functions:
1. Completes assigned chart audits including reports for QAPI.
2. Monitor admission charts to meet five day deadline.
3. Reconciles medication invoices for accuracy.
4. Submits required documents for Medicaid, Part D, and private insurance.
5. Coordinates ACOM medical student schedules.
6. Assists Nurse Practitioner with scheduling face to face recertification visits.
7. Receives and distributes incoming faxes including physician orders, test results, etc. Prepares and sends outgoing faxes.
8. Fax plans of care and CTIs to appropriate physicians, or print and give to Community Engagement staff to deliver.
9. Scans admission documents and DNRs into the EMR.
10. Fax medication lists to PDC and patient’s pharmacy immediately after admission.
11. Responsible for clinical supply inventory orders.
12. Monitors key metrics with monthly reporting to the Director.
