Description: The Technology Integration Coach assist educators in developing highly-effective integration of technology into instruction that increases student learning and engagement through modeling, collaborative planning, and facilitating professional learning. Successful integration and growth in educator strengths will be measured through the completion of standards, collected data, and evaluation process.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree

Current Ohio Teaching License
-
Minimum of five years' successful classroom experience with proven integration of technology into curriculum

Experience in technology integration/instructional coach position preferred

Computer/technology endorsement preferred

Demonstrated skill in oral and written communication using up-to-date technology

Such alternatives to the above as deemed appropriate by the Superintendent
Essential Functions:

Ensure safety of students.

Promote positive public relations.

Serve as a role model for students.

Provide internal and external reports and presentations as requested.
-
Maintain respect at all times for confidential information, e.g., test scores, student/personnel information.

Attend board meetings upon request and prepare such reports for the board as requested.

Attend meetings and professional development as requested.

Attend professional growth seminars, workshops, and conferences to keep current on relevant issues and trends as well as local, state, and federal mandates and policies regarding technology integration.

Complete individual coaching cycles, including the development of lesson activities through and co-planning/co-teaching methods.

Provide group-based professional learning sessions in content/grade-level-based instructional departments.
-
Embrace open communication, trust, and mindful behaviors that are necessary for building authentic relationships with educators.

Promote and assist with differentiated, project-based, and blending learning methods necessary to invoke durable skills.
-
Provide instruction to students in partnership with classroom teachers for the purpose of educating students on related skills or to model classroom practices as part of coaching.

Observe lessons (informally, non-evaluative) in order to provide feedback for effectiveness of technology integration in meeting a diverse range of student needs (i.e., from struggling to advanced) and that facilitates teacher reflection and growth.

Provide support and professional learning opportunities to all staff and educators using Ohio's Standards for Professional Development.

Work in conjunction with all relevant stakeholders in the development of resources and lessons supporting computational thinking standards and digital wellness needs.

Collaborate with District Student Learning Team and instructional coaches as a resource for enhancement and enrichment.
-
Assess needs and priorities for growing technology skills for all staff.

Demonstrate and model data-based and research-based effective instructional strategies.
-
Partner with Director of Technology on planning actions to accomplish goals from Strategic Plan and Tech Plan.

Communicate classroom needs to Technology Operations Team to support their work.
-
Assist in supporting operations and functionality of devices, software, and data.

Meet regularly with district administrators to coordinate instructional activities related to school and district improvement plans / Strategic Plan (instructional goals and strategies).

Participate in building and district meetings as needed and serves as a member of district leadership teams.

Possess strong pedagogical knowledge and content learning expertise.
-
Capable of executing, presenting, and promoting advanced features of software such as learning management systems, productivity suites, and communication tools.

Execute effective troubleshooting skills necessary to navigate technical issues in which district staff may face and be required to effectively operate job duties.

Possess knowledge and use of effective instruction and assessment strategies.
-
Possess specific knowledge of the use of formative, curriculum-based, and normative assessments and has the ability to use these to inform personalized learning for each student.

Evidence preparation and presentation of professional development for teachers.

Encourage and support the implementation of technology that aids instruction and that transforms student learning.

Successfully completes all district training requirements in a timely manner.
