Duties
- Prepare patients for ophthalmic examinations by taking comprehensive intake information and documenting medical histories accurately.
- Perform ophthalmic testing, including measurement of visual acuity, intraocular pressure, and other diagnostic assessments.
- Operate ophthalmic diagnostic imaging equipment including A-scan biometry and tonometry devices to assist in accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Perform eye refraction tests to determine prescriptions for corrective lenses, ensuring precise patient assessments.
- Assist with ophthalmic examinations by applying aseptic techniques, maintaining clinical confidentiality policies, and adhering to HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy.
- Manage electronic health records (EHR/EHR) systems efficiently, documenting all patient interactions, test results, and clinical notes thoroughly.
- Support the clinical team by maintaining medical records, ensuring all documentation complies with confidentiality standards and regulatory requirements.
