Job Summary
We are seeking skilled Structural Steel Fitters and Welders to join our team. 2 years minimum experience working in a Structural Steel Shop. We build Teams that work well together.
Welders must be proficient with these structural wires: Metal Core - Flat/Horizontal and Dual Shield - Vertical Up/Overhead. Welders will be responsible for ensuring high-quality welds that meet all QC requirements, correct size, clean all weld spatter, needle gun all slag and silica buildup.
Fitters must have a strong background in Structural Steel welding and fabrication, with the ability to read blueprints and assemble components accurately. This role requires mechanical knowledge and proficiency with large assemblies and jigs.
Responsibilities
- Perform welding tasks using GMAW and FCAW and other techniques to fabricate and assemble metal structures
- Read and interpret blueprints, work with jigs for large assemblies
- Square and plumb assembles in the jig, and check for accuracy
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and machinery to cut, shape, and join materials effectively
- Operate forklifts and cranes safely to transport materials within the worksite.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining quality standards
Requirements
- Fitters and Welders - Minimum 2 years experience in a Structural Steel Fab Shop
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Proficiency in blueprint reading is essential for understanding project specifications.
- Familiarity with operating forklifts and cranes safely is preferred.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- 2nd Shift Hours: Monday - Friday 4pm - 2am with a 30 minute Paid Lunch and Noon to 6pm on Saturday. 56 Hours Per Week
- Overtime is Consistent All Year
