Property Management company is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician for a multifamily community in Stone Mountain, GA. This role is responsible for completing work orders, performing preventative maintenance, and supporting unit turns while delivering quality work and strong customer service. The ideal candidate is dependable, hands-on, and able to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Complete assigned work orders and preventative maintenance (PMs) in a timely and accurate manner
- Respond to incoming service requests and prioritize based on urgency
- Perform general maintenance including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and appliance repair
- Diagnose and repair issues related to HVAC systems, electrical components, plumbing fixtures, and appliances
- Assist with unit turns (make-readies), ensuring apartments are move-in ready on schedule
- Repair structural items such as doors, windows, walls, and fixtures
- Identify and report existing or potential property issues to supervisors
- Follow and execute preventative maintenance schedules
- Maintain and clean tools, equipment, and work areas
- Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety policies and procedures
- Communicate professionally with residents and follow up to ensure satisfaction after repairs
- Maintain accurate records of completed work orders and maintenance activities
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of maintenance technician experience in multifamily housing
- Strong working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general repairs
- Ability to complete work orders and apartment turnovers within required timeframes
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
- Must be available for on-call rotation as needed
- Ability to lift, push, and pull as required for maintenance duties
- Proficient in the use of hand and power tools
- Knowledge of fair housing guidelines
