Aftenro is seeking a experienced and motivated individual to join our team in providing wellness programming, safety interventions, and education to our seniors to help them age successfully in place. As a Wellness Assistant, you will help our resident’s meet their health and fitness goals by working with them on a one-to-one basis or in a group setting. You will assist in creating a fun and open atmosphere to motivate our residents while addressing their safety and possible equipment needs.
A Full time position is open for 30 hours per week with the possibility of additional hours as needed , depending on caseload . Hours are 9am to 3pm Mon thru Friday may include weekends when needed.
Guide residents in 1:1 home exercise programs established by P.T./O.T.
Assist residents on and off the NuStep exercise bike, set up with other exercise equipment as needed, etc.
Qualifications : CNA Certified , a background in exercise science is preferred , COTA's welcome to apply.
Must have ability to lift 40+ pounds
Must be able to endure , standing ,sitting ,walking , and bending for long periods of time.
Experience in long-term care or rehab helpful Clear communication and documentation skills Good problem solver and able to recognize safety issues Basic knowledge of preventative, alternative and holistic approach to health care a plus, but not required.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.14 per hour
