Job Summary

Responsibilities
- Assist residents or clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support.
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs, ensuring proper food handling and cleanliness standards are maintained.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light cleaning duties and ensuring infection control protocols are followed diligently.
- Document patient observations, care activities, and any incidents accurately in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to residents or clients, fostering a positive environment that promotes mental well-being.
- Assist with resident activities and social engagement initiatives to promote community involvement.
- Support residents’ safety by adhering to all policies related to resident’s rights and confidentiality under HIPAA guidelines.
Experience
- Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, group homes, or home health environments is highly preferred.
- Experience providing personal care for individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia is advantageous.
- Working knowledge of infection control practices including cleaning protocols is beneficial.
