MCD Mateos is seeking an experienced, hands-on Regional Human Resources Manager to support our McDonald's restaurants throughout West Virginia and Western Maryland. This field-based role partners closely with employees, restaurant leadership, Operations, Payroll, Training, and the Director of Human Resources. The ideal candidate is approachable, organized, professional, and comfortable handling sensitive employee-relations matters in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Key Responsibilities
· Visit assigned restaurants regularly and maintain a visible, approachable HR presence.
· Build strong relationships with employees, General Managers, and Operations leadership while monitoring restaurant morale, engagement, staffing, and retention concerns.
· Respond to employee complaints and conduct fair, timely, confidential workplace investigations.
· Prepare and review disciplinary actions, written warnings, suspensions, performance plans, and termination documentation.
· Ensure HR records and supporting documentation are accurate, complete, approved, and properly maintained.
· Coach managers on employee relations, attendance, performance management, documentation, lawful interviewing, and company policies.
· Maintain employee information and process personnel changes using ProLiant and related company systems.
· Use Harri, McHire, Elate, ProLiant, and other platforms to review schedules, hiring activity, disciplinary submissions, and employee records.
· Assist with Form I-9 compliance, leave requests, accommodations, workers' compensation, return-to-work matters, and applicable ADA, FMLA, wage-and-hour, harassment, discrimination, and non-retaliation requirements.
· Provide weekly HR updates and immediately escalate serious matters involving safety, harassment, discrimination, retaliation, workplace violence, or legal risk.
Qualifications
· Three or more years of Human Resources, employee relations, restaurant operations, retail, or multi-unit management experience preferred.
· Experience conducting workplace investigations and preparing disciplinary documentation.
· Strong communication, organization, confidentiality, conflict-resolution, and follow-through skills.
· Ability to manage multiple cases, deadlines, and restaurant locations independently.
· Experience with HRIS, payroll, scheduling, or applicant-tracking systems; ProLiant, Harri, McHire, or Elate.
· Degree in Human Resources, Business, Management, or a related field preferred; bilingual English and Spanish communication skills strongly preferred.
· Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and regular travel throughout West Virginia and Western Maryland required. Flexible availability may be needed for urgent matters, meetings, investigations, evenings, or weekends.nd operational expertise.
Pay: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
