Medicare & Money is a bilingual health insurance and financial wellness agency in Cherry Hill. We help seniors, families, and small business owners understand Medicare and Get Covered NJ.
Most of our clients come to us confused, tired, and a little scared. Some have been on hold for two hours. Some have a letter they can't read or understand. Our job is to sit with them and walk through it.
We are looking for one person to join our small team and be the voice our members hear when they call.
What you'll do
- Answer and return calls from our members in English and Vietnamese/Chinese
- Call insurance carriers on our members' behalf — track down claims, ID cards, pharmacy issues, and pending applications until they're actually resolved
- Help clients complete NJ FamilyCare and Get Covered NJ applications, and gather documents for verification
- Prepare and organize Medicare enrollment paperwork for our licensed agent to review and complete
- Book and confirm appointments; keep our CRM accurate and current
- Follow up on outstanding items so nothing sits in a pile
- Support community events, health fairs, and educational workshops
What we're looking for
- Conversational Vietnamese/Chinese and English, spoken and written — you'll switch between them all day
- At least 1 year of customer service, medical office, or call center experience
- Organized enough to track 30 open items without losing one
- Basic computer skills — email, web forms, and willingness to learn our CRM
- Complete discretion with private health and financial information
- Be coachable, capable, and focus
Nice to have (not required)
- Experience with Medicare, Medicaid, or Marketplace insurance
- Familiarity with NJ FamilyCare or Get Covered NJ
- Be familiar with book keeping
- A NJ health producer license, or willingness to pursue one — we will support you
