Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and proactive part-time Human Resources Generalist to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will serve as a key partner in managing human capital strategies, fostering positive employee relations, and ensuring compliance with employment laws.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end payroll processing across all companies, including commissions, garnishments, and HRIS maintenance
- Administer and enroll employees in benefit plans (health, dental, vision, 401(k), LTD) and serve as day-to-day liaison with benefit carriers
- Lead full-cycle recruiting — from job postings and interviews to offer letters and onboarding paperwork
- Develop and maintain HR policies, the employee handbook, and job descriptions for all non-elected staff
- Manage performance appraisals, attendance tracking, and employee counseling
- Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws (FMLA, ADA, EEO, HIPAA, COBRA, OSHA)
- Administer the 401(k) plan, including loans, distributions, rollovers, and annual compliance testing
- Investigate and respond to employee complaints
- Deliver training on customer service, sexual harassment prevention, FMLA, EEO, and other relevant topics
- Administer both voluntary and involuntary separation plans, including exit interviews and COBRA documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution
- Minimum 5 years of HR Generalist experience required
- Paylocity and Employee Navigator experience preferred
Pay: From $45,000.00 per year
