Overview
At Drs. DeMarco, Tilkin and Powers Orthodontics we are seeking an orthodontic assistant to join our team! We are a busy, privately-owned orthodontic practice located in Silver Spring, MD. We have transformed smiles in our community for over 35 years! We are looking for a positive, outgoing individual with strong clinical hand-skills. Duties
- Provide excellent clinical and customer service
- Assist the Orthodontist with insertion and removal of orthodontic appliances
- Take full patient records (pano, ceph, photos, intraoral scan)
- Prepare appropriate chairside set-up for each appointment
- Chairside clean-up and sterilization of instruments
- Patient education related to orthodontic care and oral hygiene
- Review and modify clinical chart notes as needed
- Communicate effectively with parents/families regarding treatment progress
- Stock inventory and maintain organization of clinical area
Requirements
- Certified Orthodontic Assistant in Maryland (or willingness to become certified in orthodontics if you hold a Dental Assistant Certification)
- Active Dental Radiation Technologist License
- Active CPR Certification
Favorable Qualifications
- 1 year of previous Orthodontic Assisting experience
- Bilingual in Spanish
- Experience fabricating Essix retainers
Pay: $25.00 - $32.00 per hour
