Start your practice where your growth matters just as much as your clients' healing. You’ve put in the late-night study hours, completed your field placements, and earned your MSW or master’s in Counseling. Now, you need a launchpad—not a sink-or-swim setup. We are looking for passionate 2026 graduates to join our outpatient team at the Watertown clinic for a hybrid, full-time therapist role tailored for clinicians pursuing their Massachusetts LCSW, LICSW, or LMHC.
Forget walking in on day one with a packed schedule and no direction. Here, your transition is deliberate, supported, and fully paid. You’ll step into a structured environment featuring hands-on mentorship, steady referrals, and a clinical community that picks up the phone when you need to debrief a tough session.
What Your Week Looks Like
- A Balanced Schedule: Work a hybrid model with two collaborative days onsite at our Watertown location and the remainder of your week working remotely.
- Meaningful Client Care: Provide individual, family, and community-focused psychotherapy, managing your intake assessments, treatment planning, and notes with close clinical guidance.
- Sustainable Pace: Build toward a comfortable expectation of 24 completed sessions per week, with options to expand if it aligns with your goals.
- Focus on Therapy: Let our dedicated administrative teams handle the heavy lifting on scheduling, billing, insurance verification, and intake coordination so you can focus entirely on your clinical work.
The Onramp: Paid Training & Graduated Caseloads
Transitioning from graduate school to independent practice is a major leap. We bridge that gap from day one:
- Comprehensive Onboarding: Begin with a fully paid orientation covering documentation standards, diagnostic frameworks, and clinical workflows.
- Gentle Caseload Ramp-Up: Rather than dumping a full roster on you, we phase your work in by adding roughly 5 to 6 new clients per week.
- Intentional Matching: We weigh your internship background, language skills, and therapeutic interests when routing referrals so you can build confidence naturally.
Diverse Clinical Exposure
Say goodbye to the stress of marketing yourself or building a private practice from the ground up. Thanks to our established community partnerships, a reliable referral stream feeds directly into your practice. You'll gain rich exposure across diverse populations, working with clients navigating school systems, community support programs, family services, and standard commercial or state insurance plans. This variety ensures your early career builds a remarkably versatile clinical foundation.
Built-In Supervision & Licensure Support
Your professional development is an ongoing commitment here, not an afterthought. We provide:
- Dedicated, weekly live supervision with a licensed Clinical Supervisor.
- Clear, structured hours and mentorship supporting your path toward full independent licensure (LCSW, LICSW, LMHC).
- A Peer Partner framework so you always have a trusted colleague in your corner.
- One full hour of paid, weekly live clinical training covering crisis response, psychopharmacology, trauma-informed interventions, and mental health law.
- 100% company-paid malpractice insurance and coverage for independent licensure fees and renewals.
Culturally Responsive Care in Watertown
Watertown is a vibrant, diverse community, and we strive to deliver care that honors every client's unique background, language, and lived experience. We strongly welcome candidates who bring cultural humility, and multilingual clinicians are a tremendous asset in helping us reduce barriers to care for local residents.
Comprehensive Benefits & Stability
- Day-One Coverage: Blue Cross Blue Shield medical, dental, and vision insurance kick off on your first day of orientation—zero waiting period.
- Financial Protection: 401(k) matching, life insurance, optional DailyPay wage access, and potential eligibility for student-loan assistance.
- No-Show Protection: You are compensated for your scheduled time if a client cancels late or fails to show up.
- Competitive Edge: Premium shift differentials for evening and weekend hours, alongside advanced pay tiers for clinicians who are already fully licensed.
Qualifications
- A conferred master’s degree (MSW, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, or related equivalent) from an accredited university.
- Graduation timeline between Spring 2026 and December 2026, with full eligibility to pursue your Massachusetts license path.
- Ability to work onsite at our Watertown clinic 2 days per week.
- A deep commitment to ethical, client-centered, and culturally attuned care. (Note: This is a professional post-graduate position; we are currently focused on 2026 graduates rather than 2027 internship cohorts.)
