Responsibilities
- Operate laundry machines and equipment to wash, dry, and fold linens, towels, uniforms, and other textiles efficiently and safely.
- Sort laundry items by color, fabric type, and cleaning requirements to ensure proper handling.
- Perform cleaning tasks such as spot treating stains and inspecting items for damage or wear before processing.
- Maintain cleanliness of laundry areas by organizing supplies, sanitizing equipment, and adhering to safety protocols.
- Assist with dry cleaning services when required, ensuring delicate items are handled with care.
- Follow established procedures for handling soiled linens to prevent cross-contamination and ensure hygiene standards are met.
- Support inventory management by monitoring supplies and notifying supervisors when stock levels need replenishing.
Skills
- Proven experience in laundry operations or hotel housekeeping is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of laundry techniques including washing, drying, folding, and stain removal.
- Familiarity with dry cleaning processes is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure all items meet quality standards.
- Ability to operate laundry machinery safely and efficiently.
- Good organizational skills to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
