Role Overview
Umbrella Functional Consulting & Support Team (Umbrella FCST) is looking for reliable, caring individuals to deliver In‑Home & Community Support services for adults with developmental disabilities and related needs. This position centers on promoting independence, encouraging community involvement, and supporting people as they work toward their personal goals in a respectful, person‑focused setting.
What This Position Involves
As a Direct Support Professional, you will assist individuals with everyday routines, community participation, and various skill‑building activities. You’ll take time to learn each person’s interests, abilities, and support needs while fostering dignity, choice, and independence.
Key Responsibilities
- Offer assistance in home‑based and community environments
- Support daily living tasks and goal‑driven activities
- Promote independence and self‑directed decision‑making
- Maintain clear, respectful communication with the people you support
- Engage in required training and ongoing learning opportunities

Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Valid driver’s license
- Background clearances in good standing
- Certified AAW/ODP Direct Support Professional
- If certification is not yet obtained, Umbrella provides a free DSP certification program with a 7‑day grace period
- Completion of 24 hours of annual professional development
- Trauma‑Informed Care training within the first year and annually thereafter

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
