Your Impact
We are looking for a dedicated CNC Milling Programmer who excels at using Mastercam to operate sophisticated 5-axis equipment. This role is perfect for a professional who thrives on intricate, high-mix precision projects and wants to lead the development of effective machining processes for complex parts. You will be expected to manage the full lifecycle of a program, from initial print analysis to final production, while optimizing cycle times and providing technical guidance to the shop floor team.
Key Duties

Develop and refine CNC milling programs via Mastercam.

Manage programming tasks for 3, 4, and 5-axis machining centers.

Create machining workflows to ensure the production of high-precision parts with strict tolerances.

Choose appropriate cutting tools, workholding, and methods to help the team achieve superior quality and output.

Work alongside production, quality, and engineering departments to facilitate both new and ongoing projects.

Enhance program performance to minimize cycle times and boost manufacturing consistency.

Assist setup staff during the initial prove-out phase and the start of production runs.

Analyze CAD models, customer specs, engineering prints, and GD&T requirements.

Propose enhancements to current processes, tooling, and programming standards to drive operational excellence.

Ensure all program revisions and documentation are kept organized and up to date.
Required Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of experience in CNC milling programming within a precision shop.

High-level expertise in the use of Mastercam software.

Proven track record of successfully programming 5-axis CNC machines.

Deep knowledge of complex toolpaths and high-speed machining methodologies.

Proficiency in analyzing engineering prints and GD&T standards.

Background in producing tight-tolerance components for industries like defense, aerospace, or medical.

Strong grasp of machining fundamentals, including feeds, speeds, and workholding.

Solid analytical abilities for effective troubleshooting and problem-solving.

Strong interpersonal skills to foster collaboration between engineering and machining personnel.
Additional Experience

Experience with multi-axis vertical or horizontal machining centers.

Proficiency working with specialized aerospace alloys such as Inconel, titanium, stainless steel, and aluminum.

Experience managing production runs ranging from prototypes to short-run manufacturing.

Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
