Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Medical Logistics Manager. In this pivotal role, you will oversee end-to-end logistics processes, including day to day driver management, order entry, driver assignments. Duties
- Strong customer-facing abilities, including Customer Service skills and experience managing client expectations and communication.
- Experience in Logistics Management and Transportation, with the ability to plan, coordinate, and optimize delivery routes and schedules.
- Background in Training, with the capability to coach and develop drivers and operations staff on processes, safety, and service standards.
- Exposure to fast-paced service environments (such as Food & Beverage or similar industries) where timing, accuracy, and teamwork are critical.
- Previous experience in courier, delivery, fleet, or operations management is highly preferred.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple priorities under time pressure.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and comfort using dispatch or logistics software tools.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in logistics, business, or a related field is a plus.
- Ability to work on-site in Phoenix, AZ, including occasional early, late, or weekend shifts as business needs require.
- Develop and implement comprehensive logistics strategies to optimize warehouse distribution, transportation planning, and inventory management.
- Manage procurement activities, including sourcing, category management, pricing negotiations, and vendor management to secure the best terms and quality.
- Coordinate with third-party logistics providers (3PL), freight carriers, NVOCC (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier), and other partners to ensure timely delivery and cost-effective transportation solutions.
- Conduct regular analysis of courier routing to identify opportunities for cost savings, risk mitigation, and enhanced service levels.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in supply chain management with a strong background in warehouse distribution, transportation management systems (TMS), procurement, and category management.
- Proficiency in data collection, analysis skills using Tableau, SQL, and other analytics tools to inform decision-making.
- Hands-on experience with warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP platforms such as AS400 or equivalent systems.
- Mechanical knowledge related to materials handling equipment like forklifts; certification is a plus.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to manage vendor contracts effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities including root cause analysis and process improvement techniques.
- Knowledge of freight forwarding, NVOCC operations, shipping & receiving procedures, demand planning, and inventory control practices. Pay: $53,921.09 - $70,000.00 per year
