THE ROLE
As our Kitchen Manager, you are the heartbeat of our back-of-house. You will lead a dedicated team to deliver signature items—from our grilled chicken bowls to our artisanal Avo toasts—with the highest level of consistency and speed. We are looking for a disciplined leader who takes pride in maintaining a culture of excellence and healthy living.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE: Oversee daily BOH operations, ensuring all dishes meet our exact quality and presentation standards.
- TEAM LEADERSHIP: Lead recruitment, onboarding, and training for the AVO family. Provide ongoing coaching to ensure the team remains positive and productive.
- QUALITY & SAFETY: Maintain 100% compliance with health and food safety regulations. Ensure the kitchen remains spotless and prep follows our "no shortcuts" philosophy.
- INVENTORY & COST CONTROL: Manage ordering, inventory, and labor allocation to optimize performance and minimize waste.
- HANDS-ON LEADERSHIP: Actively work the line or expo station during peak hours to ensure a seamless guest experience.
WHAT YOU BRING
- EXPERIENCE: 3–5+ years of leadership in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen.
- SKILLS: Strong organizational skills, high attention to detail, and a passion for healthy cuisine.
- CERTIFICATIONS: Valid Food Handler or ServSafe certification.
- COMMUNICATION: Bilingual (English/Spanish) is highly preferred for our diverse Miami team.
- PHYSICAL STAMINA: Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
