Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks, such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Provide medication reminders and assist with medication management
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding if necessary
- Perform light housekeeping duties, including cleaning and laundry
- Assist with mobility and transfers, using proper techniques and equipment
- Provide companionship and engage in meaningful activities with clients
- Monitor and report any changes in client's health or behavior to the supervisor
- Maintain accurate records of care provided
Skills
- Compassionate and empathetic nature
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and their families
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently
- Patience and understanding when dealing with clients who may have physical or cognitive limitations
- Strong problem-solving skills to address any issues or challenges that may arise during caregiving
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience as a caregiver is preferred but not required
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass a background check
