Luxor Staffing is hiring a Manufacturing Material Handler paying up to $19 per hour with 1st shift available. Weekly pay, possible overtime, incentive and bonus programs, optional direct deposit, benefits from day 1 on the job and much more!
Job duties:
- Transport steel poles, shafts, plates, and components between workstations (cutting, forming, welding, galvanizing, finishing)
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, and staging areas using forklifts, overhead cranes, or other material handling equipment
- Stage materials for production in accordance with work orders and production schedules
- Supply production lines with required materials to prevent downtime
- Verify material identity, heat numbers, dimensions, and quantities against work orders and packing lists
- Maintain accurate inventory transactions using ERP/WMS or manual logs
- Perform routine inspections of material handling equipment and report issues
- Ensure proper storage and stacking of steel materials to prevent damage or safety hazards
- Follow all OSHA, company safety policies, and rigging/hoisting procedures
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED and 1–3 years of experience in material handling, warehousing, or a manufacturing/steel fabrication environment.
- Experience operating forklifts, overhead cranes, and other material handling equipment; certification preferred or ability to obtain.
- Ability to read work orders, verify material specifications, and maintain accurate inventory records using ERP/WMS systems.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards, rigging and hoisting practices, and safe material handling procedures.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, and safely move heavy materials using appropriate equipment.
