Site & Residential Coordinators are responsible for overseeing site operations, ensuring client and site safety, coordinating transportation, monitoring resident chores, assisting with inventory management, and maintaining site facilities. This role requires attention to detail, a proactive approach, and the ability to manage responsibilities daily.
Shift Availability:
This is a 24/7 department, and holiday and overtime hours may be required. Shifts are not fixed and may be adjusted or alternated as needed to meet the organization’s operational needs.
Minimum Requirements
- Ability to communicate effectively in writing, verbally, and electronically
- Valid driver’s license
- Must pass a State of Michigan background check
- Basic word processing skills
- Bilingual preferred
- Comfortable working with individuals who have experienced trauma
Focus is on day-to-day resident support, direct service, and basic site operations.
Tasks:
- Assist with resident intake, orientation, and bed assignments.
- Support daily resident needs, including food service, transportation, and basic supplies.
- Monitor resident chores and community living standards.
- Document resident interactions, incidents, and service requests in the client's electronic system.
- Provide mediation support between residents when needed and escalate issues to supervisors.
- Assist in coordinating resident activities, events, and celebrations.
- Ensure the safety and cleanliness of common areas and report maintenance concerns.
- Uphold trauma-informed care practices in all resident interactions.
- Provide coverage for shifts, ensuring a consistent staff presence.
Resident Intake & Orientation
- Administer intake for all incoming clients.
- Orient and introduce clients to agency programs, policies, and schedules.
- Assign beds and prepare rooms (clean and sanitize rooms and bedding) as needed.
- Update daily sign-in sheets and ensure all clients sign in each night.
Daily Resident Support
- Support resident needs, including food service, transportation, and distribution of basic supplies.
- Assist kitchen staff when needed and monitor kitchen/dining areas for safety and cleanliness.
- Ensure snack areas are clean and stocked.
- Guide and monitor clients for compliance with agency policies; report issues as necessary.
- Transport clients according to the transportation schedule.
Resident Chores & Compliance
- Monitor and inspect resident chores to ensure completion.
- Prepares, portions, and serves lunch in alignment with daily schedules and food safety standards, ensuring timely and accurate meal service.
- Ensure tools and spaces meet health and safety compliance standards.
- Conduct facility walkthroughs and complete daily safety and compliance checklists.
Documentation & Reporting
- Document resident interactions, incidents, and service requests in the client's electronic system.
- Provide shift reports at the end of each shift.
- Share client updates with other service staff as needed.
Community Engagement & Activities
- Assist in coordinating resident activities, events, and celebrations.
- Participate in and help coordinate emergency evacuation drills with supervisors.
Facilities & Cleanliness
- Perform light cleaning of offices, bathrooms, hallways, and community spaces.
- Organize and clean supply rooms and other storage areas.
- Report maintenance concerns to supervisors.
Professional Responsibilities
- Uphold trauma-informed care practices in all resident interactions and participate in all trauma-informed training.
- Attend scheduled conferences, staff meetings, agency functions, and fundraisers as requested.
- Represent the agency at public forums, conferences, and media events; advocate in the community.
- Provide coverage for shifts to ensure consistent staff presence.
- Assist supervisors as directed.
