We are seeking an energetic and attentive Server to join our vibrant restaurant team. Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements to create a welcoming atmosphere
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring timely delivery
- Provide detailed menu descriptions, including wine and spirits recommendations, to enhance guest experience
- Serve food and drinks professionally, including cocktail preparation and beverage service, adhering to all safety and sanitation standards
- Process sales transactions efficiently while handling cash, credit cards, and other payment methods accurately
- Upsell menu items and specials to maximize sales opportunities while maintaining guest satisfaction
- Maintain cleanliness of tables, bar area, and service stations through bussing and sanitation practices
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure orders are prepared correctly and promptly
- Support guest relations by addressing inquiries or concerns promptly and courteously
- Assist with food handling, proper sanitation procedures, and adherence to food safety regulations
Requirements
- Prior food service experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is highly preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous
- Experience with cocktail making, wine knowledge, spirits handling, and beverage service is desirable
- Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, positive attitude
- Ability to process cash transactions accurately while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper sanitation procedures
- Basic math skills for handling bills, making change, and processing sales transactions
- Previous experience in fine dining or upscale restaurant environments is a plus
- OpenTable experience or similar reservation system familiarity is beneficial
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
