As a C&P Nurse Practitioner for Veteran Evaluations – Hammond, Louisiana, you'll work a consistent three-day schedule on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. You'll review medical histories, conduct in-person physical assessments, and document objective findings that support the VA disability claims process.
This is an assessment-only role with no prescribing, treatment, ongoing patient management, call, nights, or weekends. The set weekly schedule provides consistency while maintaining the flexibility of a part-time clinical position.

- Conduct in-person VA Compensation & Pension examinations.
- Review service treatment records, medical histories, and claim-related documentation.
- Perform structured physical assessments within established examination protocols.
- Complete required Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs).
- Document objective clinical findings using a secure web-based platform.
- Submit completed examination records within required timelines.
- Maintain clear, accurate, and thorough documentation.
- Work with clinic and support staff to maintain an efficient examination workflow.
This is an evaluation-only role. There is no prescribing, treatment, ongoing patient management, or follow-up care.
Qualifications
Required
- Active Nurse Practitioner license required.
- Ability to work onsite in Hammond, Louisiana.
