Database Administrator, Skill Level 4
Overall Assignment Description: Information Management / Technical
Support Duties may include:
- (U) Provide technical database management and administration support to effectively and efficiently manage the security databases.
- (U) Develop a training plan to teach new and existing staff the day-to-day elements of the security database.
- (U) Maintain and update the database by continuous day-to-day update of content, and ensuring accurate and adequate security measures are in place to safeguard government and contractor sensitive and priority data.
- (U) Prepare and maintain all SOPs and research and prepare policies and procedures for NGA SIS.
- (U) Analyze and review security files and provide security file maintenance support.
- (U) Coordinate with database administrators and system engineers to populate the security database for NGA.
- (U) Maintain and support a comprehensive understanding of the continuity of operations for NGA, SIS.
- (U) Design report capabilities to maintain and deliver sensitive security metrics and statistics and provide associated briefings.
- (U) Design and develop report capabilities, generate reports containing security metrics and other statistical information; and further prepare and present briefings on security database operations, and metrics.
- (U) Design, develop and maintain Security related websites, emails, SharePoint sites and other technology-related platforms.

- (U) Gather, compile customer requirements, and translate into technical solutions.
- (U) Assist with the development and implementation of Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions based on customer requirements.
Required
- (U) Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in a related field to Database Administrator
- (U) Demonstrated minimum of 3-6 years of experience in the following:
- (U) Database Administration/Security
- (U) Database Design/Implementation
- (U) Structured query language (SQL) Troubleshooting database/system issues
- (U) Windows & Linux Operating systems
- (U) Must be able to support technical solutions for the FOIAXpress database as well as NGA databases such as SharePoint.
- (U) Must be able to learn how FOIAXpress functions to develop content and templates.
- (U) Must have the ability to become a FOIAXpress Subject Matter Expert (SME), take input from the SISSO customer, and translate the input into actions within the system.
- (U) Must be able to accomplish administrative functions and assist with troubleshooting to resolve issues within FOIAXpress.
- (U) Must have the ability to become a SME on Public Access Link (PAL) which is a cross domain solution for FOIA requests. PAL is already in development. SISSO will need assistance to fully implement the PAL.
- (U) Support Declassification Team initiatives with AI/Machine Learning (ML)
- Translate technical requirements into actions
- Assist with developing AI/ML tools for use by the Declassification Team
- Generate effective prompts
- Implement solutions for process improvement.
