Ludlow Composites Corporation is an 80+ year old leading manufacturer of PVC and latex foam products serving a variety of different markets.
Job Summary
The successful candidate for this position has experience in shipping/receiving/warehouse support and the motivation to progress up within the organization. This is a non-exempt salaried position.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
- Process all truck shipments and contact carriers with shipment information daily
- Process Manufacturing Orders and release picking tickets
- Completion of all data entry of production tickets and transfer sheets
- Process pick ticket batch runs 2-3 times/day
- Prepare labels for any private label customers
- Tracking and investigation of shipping errors
- Process receiving
- Preparation of bar code tickets and labels for daily receiving and production
- Oversee daily “Hot List” to confirm all orders are shipped
- Log in of all claims, filing, and tracking performance
- Assisting the Customer Service and Sales teams with rate quotes
- Assist in scheduling of off-unit departments
- Coordinate & process inbound raw material shipments
Qualifications and required skills:
- High school diploma.
- 3-5 years warehouse/manufacturing experience
- Previous shipping/receiving experience required
- Associates degree in a related field preferred
- Ability to work with and without supervision.
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel); MiSys and Sage experience preferred
- Exceptional organization skills and the ability to multi-task
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbal and written; strong inter-personal skills are a must
- Self-motivated.
- Administrative experience required
- Ability to determine continuous improvement opportunities and aggressively implement action plans
- Ability to work in an office environment within a manufacturing/industrial facility
- Ability to pass drug and background screens
