Administrator, Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) Job Summary:

Directs daily operations in the Center for Cardiac and Vascular Intervention (CCVI).

- Manages risks to the CCVI.
- Ensures the CCVI complies with applicable laws and non-accreditation regulations, standards, etc.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO APPLY:
Required Education:
-
Associate degree (or equivalent) in nursing from a program accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) or the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN)
Required Experience:
-
Three (3) years of perioperative registered nursing experience
Required Certification/License/Registry:
-
Licensed as a registered nurse (RN) in accordance with Florida Statutes (FS), Title XXXII (Regulation of Professions and Occupations), Chapter 464 (Nursing), Part I (Nurse Practice Act). Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Red Cross (ARC) or American Heart Association (AHA).
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification from the ARC or AHA within three (3) months post-hire.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from the ARC or AHA within three (3) months post-hire.
- Certified Administrator Surgery Center (CASC) credential from the Board of Ambulatory Surgery Certification (BASC) within twelve (12) months post hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in nursing from a program accredited by the CCNE or the ACEN.
- Certified Administrator Surgery Center (CASC) credential from the Board of Ambulatory Surgery Certification (BASC).
- Full understanding of accreditation standards, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) standards, and Agency for Healthcare Administrations (AHCA) rules.
- Thorough knowledge of the nursing process.
- Knowledge of perioperative care.
- Knowledge of patient rights.
- Familiarity with the basic nursing performance standards outlined in the Nurse Practice Act.
