Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Fire Protection Engineer / Project Manager to support design, coordination, and construction‑phase activities for commercial, institutional, healthcare, and municipal projects. The ideal candidate has strong technical knowledge of fire protection systems, NFPA codes, and multidisciplinary project coordination.
Responsibilities
- Develop and review fire protection system designs including sprinklers, standpipes, fire pumps, fire alarm, and special suppression
- Perform hydraulic calculations, equipment sizing, and system layout
- Prepare and coordinate Revit and AutoCAD construction documents
- Review shop drawings, RFIs, submittals, and field conditions
- Ensure compliance with NFPA, IBC, IFC, and local AHJ requirements
- Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, contractors, and owners
- Provide technical guidance to design teams and support project delivery
- Participate in permitting, inspections, and construction administration
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
- Professional Engineer (PE) – Fire Protection preferred
- 10+ years of fire protection design or engineering experience -preferred
- Strong knowledge of NFPA standards and building codes
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office
- Experience with hydraulic calculations and fire protection system design
- Strong communication and project management skills
- Hands‑on experience with clean agent, deluge, suppression, and fire alarm systems
Pay: $66,927.64 - $100,601.03 per year
